Joe C.C. Yuan was born in 1951 in Tainan County, Taiwan Province. 73 years old, has been in the diamond business for more than forty-six years.
Since 1977, he has been committed to diamond processing, teaching, trading, certificate identification, research, growth of single crystal and polycrystalline artificial diamonds by high temperature and high pressure (HPHT) method, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, research and production of diamond tools, diamond electrodes, diamond LED, diamond wafers, graphene, etc. More recently, large CVD colorless/near colorless diamonds and small HPHT colorless/near colorless diamonds have been successfully produced.
Degree in Research Gemologist (G.G.) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
DGA degree from Diamond Fellow of the Royal Gemological Society (Gem-A).
He teaches gemstone cutting design at the School of Jewelry, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

Song Jianmin, born in Fujian, China, grew up in Taiwan. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1976 and joined GE Company to form a bond with synthetic diamonds. He is now engaged in high temperature and high pressure (HPHT) diamond growth, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond film growth and diamond tool manufacturing.
Dr. Song Jianmin has worked and studied in GE, Norton Diamond Film, China Grinding Wheel Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Taiwan), Rhenium Diamond Technology and other companies, and has made many technical and patent achievements. He has assisted South Korea's Rijin Diamond, Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute, South Korea's SKC and other companies in technological upgrading. The assisted units have benefited a lot and achieved obvious economic benefits and technological progress.
For many years, he has been guiding and promoting the research and development and manufacturing of related project products at home and abroad. In addition to participating in the development of the world's major diamond technology, he is also the inventor of the new superhard material carbon nitride C3N4. He has cooperated with Nanyang Zhongnan Diamond Co., Ltd., Henan Yellow River Cyclone Co., Ltd., Henan Funike Superhard Materials Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou United New Materials Co., Ltd. and so on in technology transfer. At present, the projects jointly developed by the mainland and Taiwan: diamond semiconductor, diamond crystal growth and diamond tool research, development and manufacturing, lead the world for 3 to 10 years, produce revolutionary innovation in the optoelectronic, semiconductor and diamond tool industries, and greatly improve the level of related industries in the world.
In July 2009, together with Dr. Yuan Zhizhong from Taiwan, he established Bench Diamond Technology (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd. to cooperate in R & D and production of HPHT diamonds, CVD diamonds and diamond tools.
He has written more than 10 books on diamonds in both Chinese and English at home and abroad, published more than 40 lectures on diamonds in both Chinese and English, and obtained about 1000 invention patents.
