Now the world's CVD equipment, divided into the following four levels:
Class A, with fast long, long white, 6-inch large tray three advantages. Such as De Beers Lightbox equipment, the best.
Class B has two advantages of fast growth and long white, such as SEKI's new SDS6K flip-cap resonant cavity.
Class C has only one advantage, such as SEKI's old straight-tube resonant cavity.
Grade D, the better one occupies two "half" advantages, the rear part of the fast-long change color is divided into positive white and the part is gray and black; The poor one has a "half" advantage, and the rear part of the slow-long change color is positive white and the part is gray and black. The worst has no advantage at all, and there is no white for slow or fast growth. All other existing manufacturers are for this D-type equipment.
The existing equipment is divided into the above four levels. CVD machine manufacturing and diamond growth factories at home and abroad are improving these requirements to improve the functional classification of the machines. It is hoped that most CVD machine manufacturing and diamond growth factories can achieve Grade A and B effects within one or two years.
CVD method for growing diamonds, the benefits of three advantages of equipment:
1. The fast length is twice the slow length.
2. The color of positive white is twice that of coffee, gray and black.
3. Large tray growth, diameter 3The seed chip that can be placed on an inch tray is twice that of a 2-inch tray machine; 4An inch tray is 4 times that of a 2 inch tray; a 6 inch tray is 9 times that of a 2 inch tray.
The machine with the best of these three advantages (e. g., De Beers Lightbox) is 2 × 2 × 9=36 times the yield benefit of the machine with the worst (2 inches long and not white). Even if the CVD machine of Japan SEKl is used, the benefit is only 1/18 or 1/9 of that of the best machine. Of course, machines with large output require a higher proportion of seed wafers and growth costs per machine than machines with small output.
The output of each machine in De Beers is 9 times that of other B- class and C- class machines.
The growth cost of De Beers products is about 1/6, 1/12 and 1/24 of that of other manufacturers.
The improvement of the design, manufacturing and growth process of various CVD machines around the world will gradually narrow the gap with De Beers Lightbox to cultivate diamonds, and the cultivation of diamonds will usher in a major reshuffle of the industry.
